A Letter from our President
It is with a sense of deep regret that we inform you that Keystone Greyhounds is going out of business.
We have had 12 wonderful, successful years of adopting out retired racing greyhounds into good homes.
All good things must come to an end.
The board considered several options and has settled and voted on ceasing operations and turning over our assets and
obligations to Wheeling Island Greyhound Adoption. As many of you know, Pam Webb heads up this adoption kennel at Wheeling.
We have worked closely with Pam for the last 5 years, since 2011. Nearly all of our dogs since that time have come from Pam.
We know Pam's strong commitment and knowledge of the dogs and many years of experience make her the best choice possible.
Pam will be handling all of Keystone returns for as long as there are Keystone dogs.
I am no longer of capable of continuing in my role as president, and feel that after 17 years of being involved in
greyhound adoption, my retirement is way overdue.
I will miss every one of you and your fur kids.
This dissolution process will take time and months to complete. We will keep you informed of where we are. There will
be continued support for those of you who have adopted from Keystone and a procedure for returns.
Keystone will no longer be bringing in dogs, accepting applications or conducting events including meet and greets.
If you are a paid member for 2016 and would like your membership fee refunded, please email Jim at
and include your name and mailing address.
We presently have a few dogs in foster that are available for adoption. If you are thinking of adding a dog, now is the time.
Jas Jazzy Rigal, Spoiled Brat and Jas Phoenix Fire are all waiting for homes.

When these three are adopted out, we will bring in no more dogs.
We know many of you are disappointed to see Keystone end. We share your feelings but this decision was absolutely necessary.
It's been a great run, 950 greyhounds adopted out . Thank you for all your support through the years.
